Information for Coaches

As you may or may not know, our club is run and reliant fully by volunteers and the generosity of our community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for putting your hand up as a volunteer for 2020 and also give you some helpful information.

Training

The day/s and time you choose to train your team is dependent on when you are available and also on how many teams are training at that time/day. To get your training space allocated please Nick 0435056399

You will be allocated a small training kit consisting of  balls and ball bag. Other equipment may be borrowed and returned from the equipment shed on your training night. (First in best dressed)

You are also able to take out and use the goal nets where available.

At times there will be weeknight games which may clash with your training space. This is unavoidable and often without notice to you. Please kindly move your training to any space available (you may have to alter your training plan for that session). It happens to us all.

Your Team and Responsibilities

It is often helpful to ask one of the parents in your team to be your team manager. They can help you in any capacity you may need.

You may also like to have an assistant coach to help you where needed.

You are responsible for informing your team when their game is, where it is and what time. Plus relaying any information they need to know. Many do this with either a Facebook group, text message or via emails.

You will need to be apply for a blue card to be a coach or a manager and the forms are available here. If you already have a blue card, please use the link form to link your card to our organisation. Forms should be returned to Susan, she can be contacted on 0411407790 if you have any questions.

Uniforms

Uniforms will be given out soon at one of your training nights.

Coaches & Managers Meeting

A coaches / managers meeting will be held early in the season and you will be issued with a Pacific Pines Football Club polo shirt.

Games and Game Days

Your teams games will be notified via the Game Day App which you can download from the App Store or Google Play. Unfortunately some games are notified as late as the day before. This is unavoidable.

The Game Day app also has on it the locations and times of each game.

You are also able to see all the teams in your division on the app. Check it out for any new features it may have that help.

Each week ask one of your parents to bring fruit for your team to eat at half time.

Try to be at the field you are playing on 1/2hr before your game for warm up and to find the field you are on.

Depending on the sponsorship we can gain you may be given some vouchers so that you can give out a Player of the Match award. This is a great incentive idea to motivate miniroos players. Please ask your contact person to see if these are available

Extra Volunteering

As the club is run completely by volunteers extra help is needed at times

You will be asked to get a parent from your team to volunteer for an hour at home games before your team’s game.

You may be asked to help set up and/or take down goal nets before or after your game. Perhaps ask some parents from your team to spread the load and get everyone involved (it’s pretty quick and easy)

Photos

Each year there is team photo sessions. They are usually near the end of the season before your training session. You will be contacted when this is going to happen. The cost is kept low approximately $10 for a single pic of your child and $15 for your team photo.

Club Celebrations

During the middle of the season our club runs a seniors v coaches match and fun day. You will be notified of the date when it comes close and asked if you wish to participate.

There is a seniors and coaches dinner held at the end of season.
